The Right Home Care!

Calm and easy.

That’s how skincare at home should be, to calm our mood and skin. And I believe the effects of facial treatments should be maintained and leveraged on after each session. I’m thrilled to share with you my latest finds from Bella!

Based on the skin consultation I had at Bella, I have oily T-zone with excessive sebum production and slightly dehydrated skin on my cheeks and rest of the face. Thus, having water-based, hydrating products is important for my skin type. Here are four products recommended by Bella for my combination skin which was thoroughly explained by my Beauty Consultant.

1. Velvety Cleanser with Marine Actives

I use this gentle white emulsion to remove my makeup twice daily. It doesn’t leave the skin feeling oily nor dry but moisturizing. Skin is soft due to the marine supplements from sea water and seaweeds. Love that it is paraben-free and safe for daily use and even on days when my skin is acting up.

2. Softening Cleansing Gel

Ooh the scent of botanical extract is refreshing and calming at the same time! Thus, it is perfect as a light morning cleanser to kick-start the day or at the end of a long day. The Portulaca and Chamomile flower extract also provide the skin with extreme comfort and protection. I enjoy using both the velvety cleanser and this cleansing gel in the shower for both face and neck. Most importantly, this PH-friendly and paraben-free formula is great for sensitive skin. As it is a water-based gel, it helps reduce the amount of excess sebum on my t-zone yet does not leave your skin feeling “squeaky” as though all your natural oil has been stripped.

3. Hydra Comfort Moisturizer

There is so much hydra goodness in this moisturizer. I’m impressed how carefully they have been selected and put together; Hyaluronic acid and Codiavelane (green seaweed) are known for hydration and Shea Butter which helps reduce water loss from the skin. And again, water is at the top of the ingredient list which makes it so lightweight yet moisturizing without that stickiness of a cream. A great product for sensitive and dry skin and the non-sticky, lightweight texture makes it even better for those living in this hot and humid weather.

4. Pore Minimizer Sun Defense SPF35 PA ++

This being a multi-tasker is possibly my TOP favorite out of the four (trust me it is not easy to choose!). But I can’t argue with a water-based, oil-free sun protection that serves many other functions. It helps mattify and refine my pores before makeup with Salicylic Acid and Polysaccharides which also reduces pimple outbreak. It also prevents premature aging with 80% of the light-induced skin damaging factors blocked! (Love that!) It contains physical filters which is suitable for all skin types and protects against the entire spectrum of UVB and UVA rays (Zinc Oxide). However, it is not as thick and applies well. Love that it leaves a nice light tint which also brightens up my skin as seen below.

I can go on and on about all the other quality products in Bella… as it is I am still thrilled over these ones which have worked well on my combination skin. Having someone who knows skincare and understands our skin type is key. Should you be interested in any of the products I’ve reviewed here, feel free to check with me or give Bella a ring about them. Hope you have some amazing picks too!
